I still have to do the porch roof but that requires building the porch first. I also repainted the windows and doors with a Glidden shade named Sandy Feet, and I&#8217;m much happier with it!<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" style=\"margin-top:15px; margin-bottom:15px\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/2009\/puzzlehouse_shingled.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" style=\"margin-top:15px; margin-bottom:15px\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/2009\/puzzlehouse_shingledback.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>The shingles turned out surprisingly well, considering they&#8217;re made from siding strips I just happened to have lying around. The shades range from blue\/gray to black to brown.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" style=\"margin-top:15px; margin-bottom:15px\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/2009\/puzzlehouse_roofline2.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Next steps will be applying trim to cover up the corners where the siding doesn&#8217;t quite meet and in the eaves to cover gaps between the roof and sides of the house, and then building the porch.
